Wow! You're a diehard rider. What was it like riding on the studded tires? Do they actually help, considering you have one wheel drive? What kind of temperatures are you riding in?

not so extreme as I expected, i read on the display a minimum of -5° C so I think that it's no more than -7° considering instrument error
in most of the trip i was around 0°C

of course with help of 12v heated clothes (grips+socks+sweatshirt)

regarding studs: on tarmac they're ok, strange feeling in the front (similar like having enduro tires), on snow covered asphalt they work properly of course being smooth with gas and brakes

on pure icy road they allow you to survive and proceed but of course you have to ride very smooth

i think that on bare ice it's otherwise impossible even to stand without studs

there are also more extreme models of studs but then you cannot ride on tarmac

this is link to italian producer who sells more or less all over the world, they've a very large products range from road legal to extreme
